Spring Garden Apartments was the first multi-family housing complex for low-income residents in Northern Virginia authorized under Section 221(d)(3) of the National Housing Act. Constructed in 1967, the 209-unit complex of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments is located in Fairfax County, Virginia near historic Gum Springs and Mt. Vernon, Virginia.
